AIREA proudly participated at Gulfood 2026, held from 26 to 30 January 2026 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, and once again demonstrated why it is regarded as the world’s largest and most influential annual food and beverage exhibition. With participation from over 190 countries, the event brought together global producers, exporters, buyers, policymakers, and industry leaders, offering a powerful platform to shape conversations around international trade, food security, and resilient agri-supply chains.

 

A defining highlight of Gulfood 2026 was India’s recognition as the Official Partner Country, represented by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. This milestone reflected the growing depth of India–UAE trade relations under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and underscored India’s increasingly central role in the global food economy.

 

Within this strategic setting, the All India Rice Exporters Association (AIREA) made a strong and impactful presence, effectively showcasing India’s leadership in premium Basmati rice exports and reinforcing the country’s reputation for quality, consistency, and reliability in global markets.

The Middle East continues to be one of the most important markets for Indian Basmati rice, where rice is deeply embedded in culinary traditions, foodservice, and staple diets.
